Uploading the latitude and longitude of your city is easy; just head to the Air Quality API homepage and sign up there. After signing up, you will receive an access key that can be used to make calls to the API; an access key is a unique string of letters and numbers that identifies you as a user of the Air Quality API. Finally, you will need to choose the endpoint; since we are looking for current air quality data we will choose US Current Conditions. Then simply enter the ZIP code of your city and click “Test Endpoint”… You’re done! Within seconds you will get a complete list with all kinds of information about the air quality in your area; things like PM2.5 and PM10 levels, O3 levels, NO2 levels, and much more!
This API will retrieve the current, historical, and forecasted Air Quality Index of any location in the world.
To make use of it, you must first:
1- Go to Air Quality Index API and simply click on the button “Subscribe for free” to start using the API.
2- After signing up in Zyla API Hub, you’ll be given your personal API key. Using this one-of-a-kind combination of numbers and letters, you’ll be able to use, connect, and manage APIs!
3- Employ the different API endpoints depending on what you are looking for.
4- Once you meet your needed endpoint, make the API call by pressing the button “run” and see the results on your screen.
