If you are looking for a good toothbrush, you should take a closer look at the test winner from the Stiftung Warentest (Issue 11/2021). The Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige places at the top with the overall rating "good" (grade 1.8). As the only model in the test, the Philips toothbrush scored "very good" (grade 1.4) in the tooth cleaning subcategory.
With an introductory price of around 300 euros, the sonic toothbrush from Philips is also quite expensive. In the meantime, however, you can often get the device much cheaper. However, the test winner is by no means a bargain.
For comparison: ApaCare Sonic Professional (to Amazon) took second place in the ranking with the rating "good" (grade 2.0). With a price of just under 60 euros, second place is significantly cheaper than first place. You should also consider the long-term costs here. While replacement brushes for the Philips toothbrush are around 15 euros, you can get the replacement brushes for the ApaCare from four euros.
If you are still willing to pay more for the test winner, you will find the test results in detail below.
