According to a media report by Digi Times magazine, Sony is redesigning the coveted Playstation 5! Thus, the switch to a new version of the console could take place between the second and third quarters of 2022. When exactly the Playstation 5 CFI-1200 – as the new version is called – will be launched on the German market is currently not clear. However, gamers should look forward to the innovations.
New version of the Playstation 5: This is what the change looks like
So much in advance: major changes are not to be expected. The innovations will probably affect the internal hardware in particular. The energy requirement of the console is to be reduced – the future owners of the console will certainly not complain about this given the rising electricity prices. By revising the wireless modules, Sony is also likely to see a reduction in production costs.
On the other hand, we can practically rule out improvements to the WLAN and Bluetooth modules since the Playstation 5 already supports the current standards with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
