Alcohol Detection API gets the image and returns a result with a score between 0.99 and 0.99999, the closer to 0.99999 the higher the confidence level. It works with any image, even those of low resolution.
If you are working in a bar, you can use this API to check IDs, or any other situation where you want to avoid serving alcohol to people who are under age or obviously intoxicated.
Using this API service, you’ll be able to prevent serving alcohol to minors and drunk people. Moreover, it can be used in conjunction with other detection sensors like odor detectors in order to augment security at your venue.
Let’s move on and see what else is needed! Be ready because here comes the difficult part!
First things first: register an account on Zyla Labs website and subscribe to Alcohol Detector API (it’s not free) . Then obtain an access key by entering your name and verifying your email address.
Before getting your keys and running your first tests, you need to configure everything! Use this link to set up your parameters before running your first test. This is quite easy as well! There are two tabs: Parameters and Test Endpoint. In Parameters tab you will set how many requests you want the Test Endpoint to run. Different from Test Endpoint that tells you how many tests have been run before the endpoint returns you a result (the end of the test).
Be able to recognize any alcoholic beverages present in an image you pass to this API.
To make use of it, you must first:
1- Go to Alcohol Detection – Image Moderation API and simply click on the button “Subscribe for free” to start using the API.
2- After signing up in Zyla API Hub, you’ll be given your personal API key. Using this one-of-a-kind combination of numbers and letters, you’ll be able to use, connect, and manage APIs!
3- Employ the different API endpoints depending on what you are looking for.
4- Once you meet your needed endpoint, make the API call by pressing the button “run” and see the results on your screen.
